Senior Equity Tax Network was founded by Tiesha Baldwin, EA, NTPIF, an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers before all levels of the Internal Revenue Service. With more than 20 years of experience in tax preparation, tax education, and taxpayer advocacy, Tiesha is passionate about expanding access to trusted tax services and financial education for underserved communities. Her vision for Senior Equity Tax Network is rooted in the belief that no senior adult should miss out on the benefits they've earned simply because they cannot afford professional guidance or do not know where to turn for help. Through education, volunteer service, and community partnerships, Tiesha is committed to helping seniors achieve greater financial security and peace of mind.
Senior Equity Tax Network (SETN) was founded on a simple belief: every older adult deserves access to trusted tax assistance, financial education, and the resources needed to achieve financial security.
After spending more than two decades helping individuals and families navigate complex tax matters, our founder saw a recurring problem. Too many older adults were missing valuable tax benefits, becoming targets of financial scams, or facing tax issues simply because they lacked access to reliable information and affordable assistance. Recognizing this growing need, Senior Equity Tax Network was established as an Illinois-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving adults age 60 and older through free tax preparation for eligible individuals, financial education, scam prevention, volunteer-driven community outreach, and partnerships that strengthen the communities we serve. Today, our mission continues to grow as we work to ensure every senior is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion while receiving trusted guidance that empowers them to make informed financial decisions.
Our mission is to empower adults age 60 and older by providing free individual tax preparation for eligible seniors, financial education, fraud prevention resources, and community outreach that promotes financial security, independence, and dignity. We envision a future where every older adult has access to trusted tax services, accurate financial information, and the knowledge needed to confidently navigate their financial future. Through education, collaboration, and compassionate service, we strive to build stronger communities where seniors can age with dignity and financial confidence.
